The Bureau of Engraving and Printing’s mission is to develop and produce United States currency notes, trusted worldwide. The general public is invited to tour BEP. The tour begins with an introductory film and continues with a real-time guided experience exploring currency production from an enclosed walkway suspended above the production floor.
- Admission is always free.
- Tours are approximately 45 minutes in length.
- Tours are limited to 40 visitors per tour.
- Each adult can request up to four tour tickets.
- The tour is closed on federal holidays and December 23, 2024 through January 1, 2025.

Tour Times
Tours run every 15 minutes. The last tour starts at 2pm. From May 28 through August 30, 2024, the last tour starts at 4pm.
Tour Ticket Distribution
Tickets are required to tour through August 30, 2024—the end of the summer season. Starting at 8am, tour tickets are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis at the ticket booth located on Raoul Wallenberg Place (15th Street SW). Tickets are available in person only, for the same day only.
