3. 583 Park Avenue – Upper East Side

For a large, sophisticated, and more traditional bar mitzvah venue, 583 Park is spectacular. Built in 1923, it offers tremendous flexibility for special events. It can accommodate 400 guests seated across different spaces with balconies overlooking the main party floor. Your event-associated stress levels are dialed down with the venue’s fully customized catering and event-management service.

4. Sunset Terrace at Chelsea Piers – Chelsea

Renting the Sunset Terrace at Chelsea Piers for your child’s bar or bat mitzvah is a pretty special experience. Dinner and dancing while watching the sunset over the Hudson makes for a memorable day in itself. Being able to incorporate some of the activities Chelsea Piers is known for—ice skating, rock climbing, and trampolining—into the day makes it even more so! Full-service catering is available for up to 300 people.

5. Greenpoint Loft – Greenpoint

If you’re looking to go completely your own way, Greenpoint Loft operates a blank box rental, which means that other than providing furniture and a kitchen, there are no restrictions as to who you choose for your bar mitzvah catering or entertainment. Greenpoint Loft is located in a 19th-century rope factory that provides a one-of-a-kind venue accommodating 185 people with breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline. Greenpoint Loft is managed by BK Venues, which has several other striking locations that make perfect NYC bar mitzvah venues, including the historic 26 Bridge in Dumbo, a former foundry.

6. Deity – Boerum Hill

Deity is a beautiful former synagogue that offers everything necessary for a memorable bar mitzvah. In-house catering provides everything from highly-rated food, to security, an ice cream bar, a sound system, and a full bar. Deity can even recommend a rabbi. Separate floors allow for the ceremony to be held in one space and the party in another and for the kid-centric and adult parties to be separated!

7. Carroll Hall – Bushwick

Similar to the aforementioned BK Venue spaces, Carroll Hall is a raw venue. The unique, modern wood-paneled and concrete space has soaring ceilings and provides a wonderful backdrop for your unique decor or theme. A variety of different spaces, including a garden, lounge, and tree house, are available.

8. Liberty Warehouse – Red Hook

Liberty Warehouse provides spectacular views of New York Harbor and is a full-service bar mitzvah venue in NYC, which can host up to 400 guests for a sit-down dinner and 1,000 for passed hors d’oeuvres. Take advantage of its terrace and host the ceremony outside with the Statue of Liberty as your backdrop.

9. The Foundry – Long Island City

The Foundry is a stunning event space with lofty ceilings, brick archways, and greenery galore. Enjoy its beautiful courtyard and gorgeous lighting. Basic rentals provide a main space and courtyard which can be tented. Additional spaces, including a pool room, can be added for an additional cost. Select from an extensive approved vendors list to handle everything from food, beverages, and staffing to organizing furniture. The Foundry accommodates 125 for an indoor dinner, 165 for outdoor dining, or up to 180 for a standing reception.

10. Vista Penthouse Ballroom – Long Island City

Occupying the 11th floor of the Vista LIC Hotel with floor-to-ceiling views of the Manhattan skyline, the Vista Penthouse Ballroom is a classic bar mitzvah venue for up to 160 guests for a sit-down dinner and 225 for a standing reception. All services are provided, including a variety of menu packages. Guest rooms are just steps away for those out-of-town attendees.

11. TWA Hotel – Jamaica

If you want to enjoy cocktails in an original 1958 Lockheed Constellation airplane or party in a breathtaking mid-century space once frequented by The Beatles, rent one of the numerous spaces (or the tarmac!) of the TWA Hotel at JFK Airport. This retro spot makes for a uniquely memorable bat or bar mitzvah venue.

The Bordone has a number of different event spaces in a smart building that can be rented according to your needs, including a terrace with East River and Queensboro Bridge views. Coordinate with the venue and your own choice of caterers and entertainers to create the party of your teen’s dreams!

14. Eve Ultra Lounge – Rossville, Staten Island
