Holiday Lights Spectacular –Wantagh. At Jones Beach, this drive-through holiday light show features more than 150 displays, hot beverages, snacks and make your own s’mores. Multiple dates; check for closed dates in the event description.

Boardwalk Lights – Long Beach. Walk along the Long Beach Boardwalk after sunset and look up at the holiday lights display. Free.

Girl Scouts Of Suffolk County Holiday Light Show – Bayport. Open daily from December 11 - 23 from 5-9 pm. Drive through a mile-long wooded trail filled with light displays and holiday vignettes. Note: The holiday village will not be open this year.

Bayville Winter Wonderland – Bayville. At Bayville Adventure Park, this ongoing event includes ice skating, holiday light show, train ride, rock climbing, character meet and greet, holiday arts and crafts and more. Except for some closed days, this event runs through Jan. 2.

Meet Santa & His Rendeer – Westbury. At Hicks Nurseries, Santa will be in the store daily. Mail a letter to Santa in their North Pole mailbox and Santa will answer it. Visit real, live reindeer, departing on December 22. Runs through Dec. 24.

Brunch With Santa – Port Jefferson. At Lombardi’s on the Sound. Sunday too.

Santa Buffet Brunch – Baldwin. At the Coral House. Sunday too.

The Nutcracker – Patchogue. At Patchogue Theatre, ring in the holidays with Ovations Dance Repertory Company's beloved production of "The Nutcracker Suite.

The Little Mermaid – Smithtown. Live performance at the Smithtown Center for the Performing Arts.

Mrs. Claus Saves The Day – East Islip Live performance at the BayWay Arts Center.

Christmas In Oz – Elmont. Live performance at the BroadHollow Theatre at Elmont.

The Nutcracker in a Nutshell – Islip.At Islip Town Hall West, Ballet Long Island presents the annual performance of "Nutcracker in a Nutshell,” a shorter 55 minute version of Tchaikovsky’s timeless holiday classic “The Nutcracker.”

Saturday, December 12

Holiday Party For Wildlife – Seaford. At Tackapausha Museum and Preserve, this Holiday Party for Wildlife features a one-hour live animal presentation, crafts, games and a special visit from Santa CLAWS.

Chabad of Mid Suffolk Community Menorah Lighting – Hauppauge. At the H. Lee Dennison Building, Glow in the dark Menorah lighting, latkes, doughnuts, fire jugglers, giveaways and more.

Family Ceramics Workshops: Winter Holiday Craft – Great Neck. At the Gold Coast Arts Center, come together to glaze collectibles and ceramics bisqueware. Learn unique decorating techniques such as stamping, printing and stenciling.

Breakfast With Santa - Bellmore. Bagels, juice, Christmas music, story and craft. Santa will pose for photos and hae a gift for each child. 

Gift Making Workshops – Greenlawn. DIY gift making class at Picasso Kidz for ages 7-12.

My Christmas Elf The Musical – Smithtown. Live performance at the Smithtown Center for the Performing Arts.

Elf Jr. The Musical – Bellmore. Live performance at The Bellmore Movies at the Showplace.

Gingerbread Decorating Workshops – Bridgehampton. At the Children's Museum of the East End, registration for their annual Gingerbread House Decorating Workshops is now open.

Christmas House Tour at Sagtikos Manor – Bay Shore. Tour the Sagtikos Manor and hear how a different president celebrated the holidays with his family traditions and the rooms are decorated accordingly.

Family Advent Festival Brunch – Deer Park. At Ascension Lutheran Church, Santa will tell the Story of Jesus’ Birth, traditions of Santa Lucia and Las Posadas, lots of food and pictures with Santa

Menorah Lighting in Long Beach – Long Beach. At Kennedy Plaza, there will be music, dancing and treats.

The Nutcracker – East Hampton. Enjoy this performance of The Nutcracker by the Hampton Ballet Theatre School at Guild Hall.

The Nutcracker – Ronkonkoma. Ballet Long Island’s trained performers and fascinating students in The Nutcracker are guaranteed to leave you with a sense of warmth and precious memories that will last a lifetime.

Sunday Science – Rockville Centre. The Center for Science Teaching & Learning is offering Sunday Science, a new a drop-off program designed to further engage your child with scientific topics outside of the classroom.

Brunch With Santa – Riverhead. At the Long Island Aquarium & Exhibition Center, enjoy a delicious buffet brunch in the waterfront Sea Star Ballroom, and take along a camera to capture a family photo with Santa!

Brunch With Santa & Mrs. Claus – Farmingdale. At Black Forest Brew Haus.

Brunch with Santa – East Meadow. At the The Carltun.

Hanukkah Party – Rockville Centre. At Central Synagogue of Nassau County, this Hanukkah party is open to children of all ages, reservations required. Crafts, cookies, baking, story times and more.

Holiday Bonfire – Riverhead. Join the community for a holiday bonfire along the Peconic Riverfront.

Festive Holiday Afternoon – Lawrence. At Rock Hall Museum, in Colonial American, the New Year was often celebrated with music, decorations, cider and sweets.

Chanukah on Ice – Long Beach. At the Long Beach Ice Arena, watch the sculpting and lighting of the largest Ice Menorah in New York. Ice rink will be open exclusively to Chanukah on Ice participants. Pizza, dinner, hot latkes, donuts and chocolate gelt for all.
