Patty Lennon, CT Mom and Coach, Discusses her Upcoming Mom Gets a Biz Conference
Patty Lennon is the CEO and Founder of Mom Gets a Life & Mom Gets A Business. She is a mom advocate, coach, writer and speaker based here in CT. Patty thinks it is important for moms to care for their own needs while raising their children. She speaks with hundreds and hundreds of women across the country each year and inevitably what she hears is that moms know exactly what they need to make their lives better… they just don’t have the money to make it happen.

Have you ever scanned the list of yummy events or summer camps taking place across Connecticut listed here at Mommy Poppins and thought “Oh I’d love for the kids to do that, that and that BUT…we just don’t have the budget for all of those activities!” Maybe you just dream of getting a massage once every …oh I don’t know … five years or so. Or a babysitter one day a week in order to feel a bit more human… a bit saner. Again, it doesn’t happen because it never quite fits in the schedule or the budget.
Patty finds that many women forgo the ability to create income because they believe that it would be impossible to be the kind of mom they want to be AND make money. In corporate America this is often the case, which is why she is a huge advocate for entrepreneurship during motherhood. Technology advances in the last few years have made it possible for women to start a virtual business from home and create $15,000 - $30,000 easily working 10-20 hours a week.
If this sounds like a solution you are interested in visit Mom Gets a Biz and check out the resources Patty has on the site to help you get started. And if you are really ready to jump in why not join Patty and other like-minded women for the Mom Gets A Business Conference in NYC on April 26? Mary Beth Lawlor
After fulfilling a childhood dream of one day living in a high-rise building in a big city (eight years in LA and 10 in Manhattan), Mary Beth is now partially fulfilling another childhood dream. As a kid, she envisioned her four gorgeous children running through the idyllic countryside while she created pottery in her studio. Well, fast forward 30 years and there is no pottery studio and only two kids but she has the idyllic countryside part down. After studying business and art, and then working in corporate marketing, graphic design as well as event planning and development, Mary Beth is now happily blogging.
