Our winter season was short-lived so the anticipation of Spring may not have been as longed for as in past years but we are still happily welcoming the warmer weather. With Spring and nicer weather comes along many outdoor festivals that include food, music, fun and more!
On Saturday April 14 enjoy a delicious festival to excite your taste buds. From 6-9:30pm the Keeney Memorial Cultural Center will be hosting the Taste of Wethersfield, a fun event filled with food and drink. Area wineries, breweries and restaurants will be offering samples, and there will also be fun musical entertainment. Ticket prices are $30 per person in advance and $35 at the door.

From May 12- June 3 at the Guilford Fairgrounds you can enjoy the Robin Hood Festival, a magical Renaissance faire experience. Step back in time and enjoy food, drink, shopping and entertainment from the middle ages. Check the website for more information and ticket prices. The Sheep, Wool and Fiber Festival, is a great agricultural and learning experience on Saturday April 28 from 9-5pm in Vernon. Some of the exhibits and activities include sheep shearing demonstrations, a kids’ corner, food, music, knitting instruction, vendors and much more!

The Manchester Art Association is holding its annual outdoor “Show in the Park” on Sunday June 3 in Center Park. The show is a fun filled day featuring arts, crafts and antiques.

On June 9 &10, Celebrate West Hartford will be taking place at the West Hartford Town Hall. The two day community fair will have various family friendly activities such as delicious food, an art & crafts show, entertainment, rides, and a 5K road race. There is no admission charge to this festival and many of the activities are also free.

On Saturday June 16 from 9am-5:30pm, South Windsor will be hosting the Strawberry festival at the Rotary Pavilion. A day full of amazing food, fun children’s activities and shows it is a can’t-miss event. Besides being able to enjoy the seasonal fruit in a variety of recipes, some of the other activities will be a petting zoo, magician, face painting, tractors, hay rides and more.

On April 28 and April 29 head over to the beautiful Hubbard Park in Meridan to enjoy the Daffodil Festival. Not only will there be 61 different varieties of daffodils but you can also enjoy crafts, amusement rides, food, musical entertainment, a parade and fireworks.
