Recycled Nature Ornaments Craft for Kids

I love discovering new, creative ways to reuse recycled materials. This simple craft is a unique activity and makes a colorful decoration that is guaranteed to look great. You can make a traditional garden ornament: a butterfly, bird, or flower. Or make whatever your kids like: a robot, alien, cat, dog, really anything. Your imaginations are the only limits.

1. Use a clean foil pie plate, take out container, or baking dish. Draw your picture on the bottom with a black marker and cut it out with scissors.
2. Use the tip of a ballpoint pen to "emboss" designs into your ornament. Draw straight lines or poke dotted patterns to create a pretty pressed tin look.
3. Use sharpie markers to add color to your design.
You can glue your ornament to a skewer r stick and use it to decorate your garden or window box or make multiple ornaments and hang them together as a mobile. Show us what you make. Share it on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram and tag @mommypoppins so we can see your creations too!
