Looking for the best things to do in Philly this Memorial Day weekend? Here are some family-friendly events and activities to add to your schedule.

The unofficial kick-off to summer is finally upon us, and if last weekend was any indication it's gonna be HOT! So many summertime favorites are back on the calendar, from the Garden Railway at Morris Arboretum, to the paddle boats at Penn's Landing setting sail for the season. The Museum of the American Revolution and the Philly Pops salute our military personnel on this Memorial Day weekend, while pilots from the U.S. Air Force visit the Please Touch Museum for Airplane Day. Visit Philly holds a fireworks show on Saturday to start summer with a bang, so consider letting the kids stay up late for the sparkly spectacle (or do like me and brace yourself for the season of being awoken by those beloved booms all summer long).

This weekend marks the opening of lots of great Sprinkler Parks and Splash Pads, so check one out if the weather cooperates. For a leisurely holiday weekend, stroll through one of 9 Walkable Neighborhoods Around Philly. If staying in all weekend feels like the right move, don't miss Ultimate Summer Bucket List Ideas: 100 (Mostly) Free Outdoor Games and Activities for Kids.

Note: Please check locations for specific details regarding Covid guidelines.
