MLK Weekend Celebration at AAMP
Remember the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. as the African American Museum of Philadelphia and Citizens Bank Foundation host this special weekend featuring activities that honor past and present equal rights movements.
This year's theme is “What can we do for others?” Guests can expect enriching and inspirational programming for the whole family such as MLK Morning programming for youth and family, a special virtual screening of Shuja Moore’s webseries Walkies, a reading by Philadelphia Poet Laureate Trapeta Mayson, and virtual tours of the Museum's latest exhibition "Rendering Justice."
Admission is free thanks to the generosity of the Citizens Charitable Foundation.
Hours are as follows:
Wednesday- Saturday: 10 a.m.- 5 p.m.
Sunday: 12 p.m.- 5 p.m.
