Family Activity: Create Your Own Holiday

How often do you wish you could just slow down and spend a quiet day together with your family? How about creating your own family holiday? You can do anything you want. It could be around a theme, you can exchange gifts, or just hang out together for a day with no distractions. Maybe you can get some inspiration from one of these books: Silly Celebrations!: Activities For The Strangest Holidays You've Never Heard Of or 365 Unplugged Family Fun Activities: A Year's Worth Of Ideas For Tv-Free, Video-Free, And Computer Game-Free Entertainment A made-up family holiday is a great activity to spend a little quality time with the family and build great memories and traditions. I was inspired by my friends, the Tuckers, who celebrate Tucker Day (yes, it helps that they have such a catchy name). But, as I was posting this I discovered that March 26 is actually "Make Your Own Holiday" Day. How weird is that?
