Check Out Mommy Poppins' 2012 Summer Camp Guide
You know what keeps me up at night this time of year? Summer camp. Every February I feel like I have to start the whole process over again. It's tough to find a program that balances my child's interests with my strict budget, which is why I've spent many a winter asking friends for recommendations, hitting camp fairs and, when I was really desperate, googling.
I know I'm not alone. All moms and dads go through this seasonal stress. That's why we created the Mommy Poppins Camp Guide, to help parents like you (and me) find the programs that best fit our families. Here's some of what you'll find in our 2012 Camp Guide.
OUR LATEST VIDEOS
The Mommy Poppins Camp Guide is organized into two sections: New York City day camps and sleepaway camps. We try to highlight the best programs out there while still giving families a wide range of options in terms of price, location and category. We've written about incredible art camps, fun farm camps, summer programs for preschoolers and camps where kids can customize their schedules, among others.
If you're thinking about sending your kids out of town, we just did a post on starter sleepaway camps for children who may not be old enough to spend the entire summer away. Of course all of these programs offer season-long sessions for older kids, too.
Over the next few months we'll be adding new camps posts and also updating old favorites like our roundup of free and cheap summer camps and free summer sports programs. And in May, we'll do a post on camps that still have availability.
But don't wait to start your search: Booking camp now means you can stop worrying...and stop googling "summer camp" at 3am.
