Weekday Event Picks for NYC Kids: Imagination Playground, Séquence 8, Cool Theater April 13-17
The kids head back to public school this week, but you can still carve out a little time for fun. Head to the American Museum of Natural History to see its latest exhibit, Life at the Limits, or enjoy the Brooklyn Museum's play workshops with Imagination Playground. There's also some awesome family theater on tap, like the acrobatic spectacle Séquence 8 at City Center, Egg and Spoon at BAM and The Earth and Me at Brooklyn College.
Although we only highlight one event per day in this post, you can find plenty of other options in our Event Calendar and our Spring Fun Guide.
OUR LATEST VIDEOS

Egg and Spoon – Fort Greene
My son and I saw Lyngo Theatre Company's show for very young audiences when he was still in preschool. Egg and Spoon is a multi-sensory, interactive theatrical experience mixed with circle time. Moms and tots sit on the floor surrounding the two actors as nature comes to life around them. Runs through Sunday, April 19.
Thursday, April, 16
Séquence 8 – Midtown West
Another April GoList pick: This acrobatic, circus-arts show from Montreal's spectacular Les 7 Doigts de la Main features high-flying action and intense emotions set to a hip-hop soundtrack. Runs through Sunday, April 26.
Friday, April 17
Learn and Play Date – Crown Heights
The Brooklyn Children's Museum hosts an open-ended play session for tots with Imagination Playground. Learn how these unique blue blocks help kids improve their social skills, self-confidence and problem-solving abilities. Preregistration is required.
