What Is Waterdrinker Family Farm's Winter Wonderland?
My kids were so excited to visit Waterdrinker's Winter Wonderland and to see all the Christmas decorations as we pulled into the parking lot. My 8-year-old and 5-year-old could not wait to explore and immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere of this Christmas experience.
Waterdrinker's Winter Wonderland creates a magical outdoor atmosphere across the expansive grounds for families to walk through. Kids will love the thousands of lights that adorn the farm, the vintage Airstream holiday village, and seeing Santa and the Grinch. You'll be able to capture incredible family photos with Christmas backdrops everywhere. There is also a greenhouse gift shop on site.

Kids will love seeing the animals in the farm's barnyard section.
My family planned a late afternoon visit. We spent about two hours exploring the farm and the activities. We especially loved seeing the farm all lit up at dusk. There is a $20 admission fee per person for the Winter Wonderland experience.
There is no admission, though, to stroll through the tree farm and find your family's perfect Christmas tree. The Winter Wonderland is open Wednesdays through Sundays for the Christmas season. Weekends are definitely more crowded than visiting during the weekdays, but still very manageable with little ones and lots of fun!
Family-Friendly Activities at Waterdrinker's Winter Wonderland
Barnyard Friends, Play Areas, and Mini-Golf
Waterdrinker's Winter Wonderland experience is jam-packed with outdoor activities for the whole family. We were greeted by adorable barnyard animals as soon as we entered. My kids loved seeing the goats, pigs, donkeys, and even an Emu. (There is a no-touch policy for the animals.)
The farm has a wooden play area with structures decked out in holiday lights for the little ones. Kids can climb ropes, tackle slides, and play on a cute wooden train. There were also little pedal bikes available for riding. Older kids and teens can take in a round of mini-golf, try their hand at corn hole, or even shoot some hoops. Jumbo bouncers were a very popular activity for a lot of the kids, including mine.

The inflatable snow globe is great for playing and for photo-ops.
Holiday Photo-Ops
Kids can meet Santa and the Grinch on the weekends, during designated times, for some incredible photos. My kids' favorite part of the entire experience was the giant inflatable snow globe. They loved having a "snowball" fight in the globe and could've stayed in the inflatable for an hour! This is a great photo opportunity or even a fun video for Instagram.
Fans of "A Christmas Story" will flip for a photo with the iconic red rider leg lamp on display, and the old blue car. Other photo opportunities include Christmas inflatables, stunning twinkling lights, the Christmas tree area, an animated Mickey and Minnie Mouse, a giant photo wreath, and so much more.
Vintage Airstream Holiday Village, Whoville, and Ice Skating
Families will love strolling around to the various vintage Airstreams to see festively designed scenes. Little ones will love running around Whoville and feeling like they are a part of "The Grinch" movie, and of course, jumping into Santa's sleigh.
The farm also features a large synthetic ice surface rink for ice skating, which is included in the admission fee. Ice skating walkers are provided for newbies learning their way around the rink. Skating under the twinkling lights is a magical treat at any age.

Grab a snack from the Airstream holiday village.
Food, Drinks & Seasonal Treats
Families can cozy up by the fire pits situated in the middle of the Airstream holiday village and enjoy roasting s'mores and sipping hot chocolate, both available for purchase. Parents and caregivers will also enjoy a stop before or after the Winter Wonderland experience at the Long Island Farm Brewery, adjacent to the parking lot.
The brewery is family-friendly, cozy, and decorated for the season as well. It is a great place to warm up after exploring in the chilly temps.
