Memorial Day Weekend: Best Things To Do on Long Island With Kids

Memorial Day weekend is the official kickoff to summer, and on Long Island, that means beach season. If you're not checking out one of our favorite family-friendly beaches, we've found a slew of fun picks for families.

Swing and sway to live tunes and indulge in food truck fare as you explore the outdoor grounds at the Science Museum of Long Island's Live at Five series or play ball with Quacker Jack during the Long Island Ducks season-opening weekend. Even though the Bethpage Air Show at Jones Beach is sold out, you can head to a nearby South Shore park to watch these high-flying acts take the skies. A little further north of us in Goshen, everything is awesome as the country's newest and largest Legoland is celebrating its opening weekend. Find details on all this, and more anytime happenings, in our Event Calendar.

Editor's note: While we are trying to promote safer activities that occur outdoors or with social distancing guidelines in place, please keep your family and others safe by always wearing a mask and maintaining appropriate social distancing. If you arrive at an event that appears too crowded, try using the “nearby” search feature on our Event Calendar to find something else to do.
