Visiting a Long Island batting cage is a great way for little sluggers to get some practice in. Kids can spend a few hours hitting balls and couple it with another activity, as many batting cage facilities also offer go-cart racing and mini-golf.

Outdoor Batting Cages on Long Island

Batter Up – Bethpage

Batter Up offers both baseball and softball batting cages. Hours vary depending on the weather. Batting cages are available on a token system. Team rentals are also available. The facility also features an 18-hole mini-golf course. Note: the facility is cash only. 

Station Sports – Huntington Station

Station Sports features five high-tech batting cages with slow, medium, and fast-pitch baseball, plus Wiffle Ball for the little ones. The facility also features an 18-hole miniature golf course and target paintball. Enjoy a beverage, ice cream, or snacks at the snack shack.

Indoor Batting Cages on Long Island

Baseball Plus – Hicksville

A modern facility with pitching machines and throwing areas for pitchers, Baseball Plus offers private and group instructions and also hosts birthday parties.

The Batting Cage – Mineola 

This indoor facility is open seven days a week and offers cage rental time for individual and team rates, no tokens necessary. 

The Cage – Riverhead

Softball and baseball players alike from t-ball to high school-aged can train all year long in this indoor climate-controlled turf training facility. The venue also offers annual memberships, camps, clinics, birthday party rentals, and more.

Five Towns Mini-Golf and Batting Rage – Lawrence

Five Towns Mini-Golf and Batting Range offers 10 baseball and softball cages at all speeds, as well as a Lil' Slugger Wiffleball for your youngest of sluggers. Plus, play a round of mini golf or paintball or hit up the arcade. The facility also hosts birthday parties. 

Frozen Ropes – Syosset

Frozen Ropes has hitting and pitching cages. It offers private softball and baseball rentals for at least four individuals, as well as monthly memberships and birthday party options, 

Long Island Sports Zone – Bohemia

In addition to offering free hitting and tees for baseball and softball, LI Sports Zone has enhanced options like HitTrax technology, which measures real-time hits and displays live results. Note: there are 18+ rules for some of the offerings.
