Summer Fairs And Festivals On Long Island
Long Island has lots of great fairs and festivals for families to enjoy this summer. Celebrate the season with live music, carnival rides for the kiddos, and plenty of delicious food. From festivals celebrating world cultures to fairs displaying local arts and crafts, there's lots to keep everyone busy all summer long. Annual Sayville Summerfest

This popular summer event features plenty of fun for the whole family. Check out live performances from The Manhattan Dolls, Sayville Dance Theater, and other local artists. Visit arts and crafts vendors, as well as a vintage car show, and don't forget to stop by the international food fest to sample a variety of delicious foods. Carnival rides and games keep the kids busy.

The Paumanauke Native American Festival features Aztec dancers, traditional drummers, craft displays, food vendors, and dance competitions. The dance competition is open to all and dancers must register on Saturday morning from 9-11 am. Bring a chair and settle in to enjoy the show.

Enjoy rides, games, live music, and dancing at this traditional Greek festival. Mouth-watering specialties such as souvlaki, moussaka, and baklava are served so come on an empty stomach. Witness a spectacular fireworks display on Friday and Saturday evenings. Shuttle busses are available for free transportation to and from Melville High School, Port Jefferson High School, and the Port Jefferson Train Station.

Head to the Long Island Maritime Museum for this two-day festival featuring over 50 indoor and outdoor exhibits. Live entertainment includes local and national bands, pirate shows, and plenty of children's activities. Kids join a treasure hunt, go on a pony ride, or set sail aboard the Oyster Sloop Priscilla. The Food Court and the Seafood-Lovers Pavilions offer fabulous choices from both land and sea.
