News: MoMath's New Competition, Free Coding for Teens, Parks Update

As summer kicks into high gear, parks all over NYC are undergoing (or finishing up) major rehab projects—and we've got the details for you here. - Central Park's Mariners' Playground is the latest playspace in the iconic park to get the go-ahead for a full renovation. – Upper West Side
- Major renovations have begun on the Kew Gardens section of Forest Park. – Queens
- Paerdegat Park has reopened after a $1.65 million renovation, which provided a face-lift to the landscaping, a new basketball court and new playground equipment. – East Flatbush
- We received news that the sprinklers at the Imagination Playground are flowing again. – South Street Seaport
- Ideas Box, a mobile media center, has opened in Hayden Lord Park for the summer. The program provides books, games, tablets, internet access and more to local kids. – Morris Heights
- Sadly, Tribeca Cinema, home to the Tribeca Film Festival and other annual kid-friendly events, has officially closed its doors. – Tribeca
