Long Island Kids' Activities March 22 & 23: St. Patrick's Day Parades, Peppa Pig Meet & Greet, Princess Ballet & More
Another weekend to show off your Irish pride, as there are four St. Patrick's Day parades stepping off Saturday and Sunday. Pick your corner of Long Island: Montauk, Glen Cove, Farmingdale or Rockville Centre. Of course, there are also plenty of other kid-friendly activities across the Island, so be sure to check out this roundup for some of the best of the best on what's happening this weekend.

All Weekend
My First Movies - Hicksville. This is a fun and music-filled movie theater playdate, specifically designed for babies, toddlers and parents. It's held each Saturday and Sunday at 11am.
Messy Afternoons - Garden City. A hands-on, multi-sensory experience at the Long Island Children's Museum.
Beauty & The Beast - Smithtown. The tale as old as time put on by local youth actors.
Constructing with Crystals - Port Jefferson. Build your own ice house with sugar cubes!
Saturday
Peppa Pig Meet & Greet - Central Islip (Ducks Stadium). At the opening day of ticket sales for the Long Island Ducks, families can meet Peppa Pig.
Egg Drop Challenge - Bridgehampton (CMEE). For families who don’t bring one from home, parents and their children can design and construct their protective containers during the hands-on workshops from 10am – 11:30am. CMEE will provide everything you need…you supply the imagination! Then, at noon, everyone will gather in CMEE Square to watch as each container is put to the test.
Sensory Hike - Shirley. Join Naturalist Todd Weston as he takes you on a guided tour of your senses. Approximately a one mile hike for families with children ages 6 and up.
LEGO Club - Bridgehampton. Every week kids can create LEGO sculptures at the Children's Museum of the East End.
St. Patrick's Day Parade Rockville Centre. One of the largest parades on Long Island has an alternate route this year
Princess Tea Party Performance Ballet - Ronkonkoma. Enjoy an afternoon tea party and performance on stage with all your favorite princesses as honored guests! Your ticket includes a fabulous tea party, with performance excerpts from such classics as Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Snow White and The Little Mermaid.
Disney's Mulan - East Islip. Travel back to the days of ancient China with this stage adaptation of Mulan and her sidekick Mushu.
Sunday
Sugar Free Allstars - Garden City (Long Island Children's Museum). This award-winning family rock band from Oklahoma City mix blends of New Orleans funk, Memphis soul and Hammond organ-drenched gospel, wrapped in a colorful rock and roll package.
Marvelous Marine Animals - Babylon. This event is geared towards preschoolers and requires pre-registration.
Friends of Erin St. Patrick's Day Parade - Montauk. The 52nd Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade will kick off from Edgemere Road at 11:30am.
St. Patrick's Day Parade - Glen Cove. St. Patrick's Day in Glen Cove this year will be even more special because it marks the 25th Anniversary of the parade, which kicks off at 1pm.
St. Patrick's Day Parade - Farmingdale. This parade kicks off along Main Street at 1pm.
MommaCon - Brookville. This trade show type event will host 150 local vendors for everything relating to parenting and child-rearing.
