Free and Fun Things to Do This Weekend for Westchester Kids: Festivals, Fairs, Nature Exhibits June 8-9
Summer is definitely in the air and there's plenty to do this weekend in Westchester. Glen Island is a beautiful place to spend a day and Hudson River Museum has a new exhibit, Federico Uribe: Fantasy River. There's also several outdoor festivals and fairs, nature outings and animal encounters happening this weekend. Indoors you'll find several great library events, museum exhibits and a grand opening of a new learning center in New Rochelle. Read on for the scoop on what to do and where to go this weekend!

Enjoy live entertainment, games, raffles and food all weekend at the Annual St. Anthony Feast & Bazaar in New Rochelle. Rain or shine at St. Joseph's Church.
Fiddler on the Roof – Yorktown Heights
Yorktown Stage presents Fiddler on the Roof. The Lighthouse Youth Arts Center brings this classic to life with shows throughout the weekend. Tickets are $18-$20. Best for ages 10 and up.

33rd Annual Ossining Village Fair – Downtown Ossining
Greet local vendors, enjoy live entertainment, food and games at this annual celebration. FREE
Grand Opening Celebration of Eye Level Learning Center – New Rochelle
Eye Level Learning Center of New Rochelle is celebrating their grand opening. New Rochelle Mayor Noah Bramson will be on-hand for the ribbon cutting ceremony and families can enjoy a host of activities including face painting, arts and crafts, music, food, free raffles and more. FREE
Port Chester Fest – Port Chester
The annual Port Chester Fest is a local multicultural celebration, where families can enjoy arts & crafts, face painting and live entertainment. Sample international food including Italian, Indian, Latin and Japanese and check out the multicultural Children's Fashion Show. FREE
Classical Indian Dance: An Afternoon of Music & Dance – Yonkers
Enjoy a classical Indian dance performance and reception at the Riverfront Branch of Yonkers Public Library. All ages welcome. FREE
Turtle Fest – Ossining
Teatown Lake Reservation is celebrating turtles this month and will be hosting Turtle Fest, complete with stories, turtle lore, crafts and more. $5 for non-members

A "Bear-Foot" Storytime – Scarsdale
A fun twist on storytime, Greenburgh Nature Center invites kids ages 2-6 to an event that includes stories, live animals and nature activities. Perfect for little nature lovers. $8
Eco-Fest at Weinberg Nature Center – Scarsdale
Weinberg Nature Center is hosting Eco-Fest on Sunday, rain or shine. In addition to nature crafts and games, pony rides and scavenger hunts, you also get face time with farm and exotic animals. $7, free for chidlren under 2
Bicycle Sundays – Multiple locations This popular weekly summer event is one of my family's favorites. Grab your bikes and head out for the open road. Lanes are closed in both directions on the Bronx River Parkway for a seven mile stretch from Scarsdale Road in Yonkers to Westchester County Center in White Plains. FREE
