Babysitting Courses in Fairfield County, CT

I’m not kidding when I tell you that I nearly fell over last week here in Fairfield County when our new 15 year old babysitter informed me that she charges…$13/hour!!!!  Are you kidding me? I’m seriously considering having my husband quit his finance job and go into the babysitting racquet.  At the very least, I will be signing my kids up for a babysitting course ASAP. I’m hoping their babysitting money will fund my retirement.

OUR LATEST VIDEOS

The Red Cross offers several courses in the Fairfield County area.  The courses are typically one day (9-4) and cost $85.   Participants will learn basic first aid, leadership skills, and basic child care.  The class is designed for kids 11-15, and students need to bring a lunch.  Below is a list of upcoming dates and times for the Red Cross babysitting course:

January 30, February 15, or March 5, 2016: Darien Red Cross, 39 Leroy Avenue, Darien, CT, 06820,

My own pediatrician doesn't currently offer a course, but I'm going to ask him to consider it if I can get together a group of participants. Time to put these kids to work!
