Adventure Summer Camps in Central CT

Central CT has a great selection of summer camps for kids of all ages with a variety of interests. As parents we understand that taking risks builds confidence. This is where some adventure fits in. Sometimes we have a child who's just aching for some risky action like rock climbing, zip-lining or an outdoor adventure course. Or perhaps, mom thinks Susie could do with broadening her horizons a bit. Whatever the motivation may be, if you're looking for an adventure camp then check out one of the following fun choices in Central CT. Holiday Hill Summer Camp located on the town line between Cheshire and Prospect, CT and has been providing great day camping for children since 1954. This fun day camp offers activities like rock climbing, a gaga pit, low and high ropes, boating and more!

Stone Age Rock Gym - Manchester
Stone Age offers a rock climbing summer camp and is now accepting applications for the 2017 session. The weekly sessions are split up by age and the professional guides then take your campers on trips to outdoor sites.  Special trip to Main for older campers.

Holiday Hill Day Camp - Mansfield
Holiday Hill is a long-running camp that offers mountain biking, horseback riding, a zip line, canoeing and more. There are a few camp sessions to choose from throughout the entire summer.

Camp Sloper - Southington
Camp Sloper is a day camp that is part of the YMCA . Not only do they have tons of fun activities like horseback riding, swimming and more but they also have this giant slide partially hidden within the woods that campers will take delight in going down.

Winding Trails -Farmington
Winding Trails offers a summer day camp with activities like archery, swimming, boating and even an outdoor adventure course!  Their Climbing Tower Days include introducing the boulder-wall, climbing tower and zip line to kids. Sounds like fun to me!

Boulder Ridge Day Camp-  Barkhamsted
This beautiful camp is located on 68-acres and provides campers with the opportunity to enjoy swimming, boating, lacrosse, basketball, marital arts, archery, hiking, mountain biking, and more!  Campers participate in six activity sessions a day.

CCAP Junior Summer Mountain Biking Camp - Mansfield
For the second year in a row, CCAP is offering a kids' mountain biking camp. This one-week camp will be help at UCONN's campus. Kids ages 10-18 will be placed in ability groups.  This is a week-long overnight camp.

Two Coyotes - Newtown/Granby 
Kids learn valuable life skills as they play and learn outside in nature.  Kids will build forts and shelter, canoe down the Penobscot in Maine, learn about wild medicine and forage for food.  Ages 5 to 14, depending on the week's theme.
