With their Christmas lists ready to give to Santa, your children may be anxiously waiting to finally meet Ole Saint Nick hoping that they made it on his “nice” list this year. While you can always hit up the usual spot like the mall, there are also many other options to meet the big man in red. In Hartford county, Santa is popping up everywhere. Check out all of these fun ways to spend some time with Santa in your area this season.
Thursday, December 3 - from 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. is the annual Holiday Stroll in West Hartford’s Blue Back Square and West Hartford Center. The family friendly event will include visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus, horse drawn carriage rides, musical performances, holiday treats, merchant specials and more.
Saturday, December 12 - from 9:30 a.m. - 11 a.m. enjoy Breakfast with Santa at Canton’s annual holiday event. There will be themed crafts, festive music, caroling and special visitors. Each child will receive a small gift after visiting Santa. Breakfast will include pancakes, sausages, fruit, muffins, coffee, tea, milk, cocoa, and juice.
December 12-23 - children have the opportunity to meet Santa at Wickham Park for its annual Santa’s Workshop. A free event sponsored by the park for children to enjoy visits with Santa and his elves, and refreshments with Mrs. Claus. Hours are 3-6 p.m. weekdays and 1-5 p.m. on the weekends.
Sunday, December 20 - enjoy Breakfast with Santa in South Windsor from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.; the event will also feature holiday music, crafts, and a photo with Santa. Each child is asked to donate an unwrapped toy to be donated to The Homeless Shelters of Greater Hartford. Seating is limited. RSVP by Dec. 14.
