Boardwalk Lights – Long Beach. Walk along the Long Beach Boardwalk after sunset and look up at the holiday lights display. Free.
Bayville Winter Wonderland – Bayville. At Bayville Adventure Park, this ongoing event includes ice skating, holiday light show, train ride, rock climbing, character meet and greet, holiday arts and crafts and more. Except for some closed days, this event runs through Jan. 2.
The Little Mermaid – Smithtown. Live performance at the Smithtown Center for the Performing Arts.
Mrs. Claus Saves The Day – East Islip. Live performance at the BayWay Arts Center.
Saturday, January 2
Winter Story Time—Owls & Other Nocturnal Animals: Ages 3-5 – Bridgehampton. At the South Fork Natural History Museum, wear your coziest pajamas, bring your snuggliest blanket and find out what animals are nocturnal; then create your own nighttime picture to take home.
Brick Building Club – Amityville. At Key to My Art, every week, there is a new theme. Kids work together or alone to fulfill the task of the day.
The Badger and the Fairy Margaret Moody Puppets – Sag Harbor. At Goat on a Boat Puppet Theatre, Mr. Badger is thrilled to meet Blossom, a flower fairy, in the garden. This gentle tale is based on European fairy lore.
Sunday, January 3
LEGO Club at CMEE – Bridgehampton. At the Children's Museum of the East End, join CMEE every Sunday from 10am-12pm each week for LEGO Club. Your child can construct works of art using the thousands of Legos they have at the Museum.
