Tyke Hikes: Totally Turkeys (Chatham)
It’s Turkey season, and Great Swamp Outdoor Education Center hosts a turkey-themed hike for 4-5 year olds. The kids will listen to stories, then embark on a nature walk to look for signs of our feathered friends. Program is drop-off, and pre-registration is required.
Jersey Shore:
“What’s So Funny?” with the Kids’ Comedy Magician (Hazlet)
Come to Hazlet Library for an evening of laughter and fun when the multi-talented Magic Tom Durnin performs, using magic, puppet, juggling and storytelling. Pre-registration is required. FREE

Historic Smithville Light Show (Smithville)
Finish Thanksgiving on a bright note with a visit to Smithville’s spectacular light show, featuring over 50,000 holiday lights on Lake Meone’s 120+ floating Christmas trees. Set to orchestrated music, the show runs Thursdays through Sundays until January 6th. FREE

Thanksgiving Night Skate (Newark)
Burn off the Thanksgiving feast by roller skating at Branch Brook Park Roller Skating Center. The evening skate session is offered for only 99 cents admission fee, plus skate rental.

Disney Live! Three Classic Fairy Tales (New Brunswick)
The Disney Live holiday performances are a can’t-miss tradition in my household. This year’s show features the classic tales Cinderella, Beauty & the Beast and Snow White together in a live, musical performance, with brilliant costumes and special effects. Performances run Friday and Saturday at the State Theatre.

Santa’s Helicopter Arrival (Nutley)
