Family-Friendly Events on the East End, Hamptons and North Fork, July 18, 19 & 20

Summer in the Hamptons and North Fork is in full swing, with more than a few family-friendly events happening from all over the East End. From fireworks to a sweet corn festival, we've come up with 10 must-attend events during the weekend of July 19-20.

All Weekend

Southampton Kiwanis Carnival
On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from 6pm to 11pm, the kiddies will enjoy riding rides, playing games and eating carnival foods. The carnival will be held at 1995 Montauk Highway (next to Carvel) in Bridgehampton. Cost: POP bracelets, $5 off coupon available for 7/18.

Antiques Show
The much-anticipated East Hampton Antiques Show will be held at the Mulford Farm, 10 James Lane in East Hampton on Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 6pm. Cost: $10 per person

Sweet Corn Festival
Bring the kids to taste the sweet corn of the North Fork at the Harbs Farm annual Sweet Corn Festival, which runs from 10am to 6pm on Saturday and Sunday. The event will feature corn eating contests, games and barnyard activities. The festival will be held at the Harbes Family Farm in Mattituck. Cost: Free

Friday, July 18

Meet the Animals
Little kids love animals, so from 3pm to 4pm the Quogue Wildlife Refuge, located at 3 Old Country Road in Quogue, is hosting a meet the animals event where kids can learn about owls, lizards, and tarantulas. Cost: $5, Pre-registration is required by calling 631-653-4771.

Mommy and Me at the Farm
Children ages 2-4 can explore the Sweet Woodland Farm, located at 45 Old Squires Road in Hampton Bays. They will have the opportunity to meet farm animals, hear a story and make a craft. Cost: $20, Pre-registration is required by calling 631-653-4771.

Concert in the Park
Kids can dance the night away at the Riverhead Townscape concert, which starts at 7pm in Grangabel Park, located at 7379 Peconic Avenue in Riverhead. Performing will be Bob Barta and Friends. Cost: Free

Saturday, July 19

Family Fair
If your family loves the Children's Musuem of the East End, you will want to bring them to the Museum's 6th annual Family Fair, which will take place from 10:30am to 1:30pm at 376 Bridgehampton/Sag Harbor Turnpike in Bridgehampton. The event will feature arts and crafts, magic shows, science experiments, games, water rides, music and food. Cost: $200 per adult, $150 per child. 

Family Concert
Music lovers should head over at 5pm to the Southampton Arts Center, located at 25 Jobs Lane, for an outdoor family concert, featuring the sounds of the Pianofest. Cost: Free

Fireworks
Didn't get enough fireworks on the 4th of July? Take the kids to the 34th Annual Great Bonac Fireworks Show, which will be held at 3 Mile Harbor in East Hampton and sponsored by the Clamshell Foundation, starting at 9pm. Cost: Free

Art in the Park
Bring out a child's inner Picasso at the Art in the Park event, which will run from 11am to 6pm at Agawam Park in Southampton. The event will feature fine artists and contemporary crafters from around the Hamptons. There will be over 40 exhibitors. Cost: Free
