Top Mother's Day Brunch Spots in Northern New Jersey

1. Alstede Farms – Chester

Enjoy a farm-to-table Mother's Day brunch buffet with a side of springtime fun at Alstede Farms' weekend-long Mother’s Day celebration. Advanced tickets are required and sold per time slot. There are select time slots available for Saturday, May 11 (10am and 12pm) and Sunday, May 12 (9am, 11am, and 1pm). Mother's Day brunch is sold per table with options for a table of four, six, or eight seats. Add an activity ticket so your kids can burn off some post-brunch energy with a pony ride, a wagon train ride, and a visit to the bounce house.

2. Amanda's – Hoboken

A Hoboken staple for many years, Amanda's serves one of the best weekend brunches in town. The menu has all your favorites, like Belgian waffles, eggs Benedict, omelets, sandwiches, and more. Saturdays and Sundays, 11am–3pm.

3. The Architects Golf Club – Lopatcong

Make a reservation at The Architect's Club for a special Mother’s Day brunch buffet (10am-4pm) that's open to the public. You'll find an omelet station, hot chafing dishes with breakfast and lunch items, a carving station, kids' options, and tons of desserts (including an ice cream sundae station). Pre-payment is required for all reservations.

4. Spring Lake Manor – Spring Lake

Mother's Day brunch at the Spring Lake Manor promises a very special meal. Enjoy eight chafing dishes with favorites like French toast, scrambled eggs, chicken cordon bleu, and seafood paella. Plus, there's an omelet station, a carving station, a waffle station, and more. Reservations are required.

5. Biagio's – Paramus

This Italian restaurant is hosting a grand Mother's Day brunch buffet with five seatings from 10am to 4pm. In addition to continental breakfast options, enjoy made-to-order omelets, a carving station with four different types of meat, and more than a dozen hot buffet items from scrambled eggs and pancakes to penne vodka and beef burgundy. And, of course, don't miss the dessert table.

6. Brass Rail – Hoboken

This Hoboken standby is well-loved by locals and does a great brunch every weekend, including Mother's Day. Choose from banana French toast, a brunch burger, steak and eggs, sandwiches, and more.

7. Liberty House – Jersey City

The restaurant's Hudson River view isn't the only sight to behold. The weekend brunch menu (11am-3pm) has a delicious variety including Nutella French toast, eggs, artisan grilled cheese, sammies, and crab cakes. Dine outside and enjoy some spectacular views of NYC.

8. Capital Grille — Parsippany and Paramus

Opening early just for moms, the Capital Grille Mother's Day brunch—featuring steak and eggs, lobster frittata, and more—runs from 10am-2pm. Reservations are strongly recommended.

9. Faubourg – Montclair

Feeling French? Dining at Faubourg instantly transports mom to a chic brasserie along the Champs-Élysées. Typical weekend brunch hours are 11am-2:30pm on Saturdays and Sundays. The two-course prix fixe brunch menu starts with a choice of fruit, parfait, soup, salad, or a duck terrine, with French toast, croque monsieur, chicken pot pie, and Spanish tortilla available for entrees. A la carte items include lobster rolls, mushroom omelets, and seafood dishes.

10. Fire & Oak – Jersey City, Montvale

Brunch at this swanky, modern restaurant feels special on any weekend, but especially on Mother's Day. Starters include warm doughnuts with dunking sauces plus savory options like spinach and artichoke dip and tuna tartar tacos. There are many great brunch plate options, too, including sandwiches, salads, eggs, and French toast.

11. Darby Road Public House – Scotch Plains

Make reservations for Mother's Day Brunch, 11am-4pm at this Irish pub and restaurant. In past years, brunch included delectable such as French toast, waffles, eggs, and more.

12. Halcyon – Montclair

If mom is a seafood lover, Halcyon is the place to go for Mother's Day brunch. Start with oysters or a jumbo shrimp cocktail. There are also tuna mini tacos, sushi, paella, and crab cake. The brunch menu offers croissant French toast, omelets, fried chicken and waffles, and even a farmhouse egg flatbread!

13. Ivy Inn – Hasbrouck Heights

Looking for a special spot? Bring the family to this historic inn for delicious brunch fare in a cozy, quiet atmosphere. The sit-down brunch boasts a great selection of drinks and appetizers as well as entrees that include omelets, avocado toast, and eggs Benedict. 

14. Madison Bar and Grill – Hoboken

The brunch at Madison includes pancakes, lobster Benedict, and a popular favorite: creme brulee French toast. Don't forget to save room for dessert.

15. Lorena's Restaurant & Bar – Maplewood

Lorena's is an ideal spot to celebrate Mother's Day brunch. This seasonally-inspired French-American restaurant offers weekend brunch with live jazz music from 11am to 3pm. With salads, French toast, seafood, and a short rib sandwich on the menu, it's a meal mom won't forget.

16. Portobello – Oakland

This buffet is truly a feast! Plan to indulge in a breakfast station (with eggs, meats, waffles, pancakes, French toast, and potatoes), a carving station, several lunch entrees (think lasagna, salmon, pasta, and chicken francese), and a dessert table.

17. Harmony Tea – Westwood

This spot is perfect for a multi-generational Mother's Day brunch. Enjoy tea time with scones, tea sandwiches, soup, salad, and sweets. Reservations are required and seatings on Saturday and Sunday are available. 

18. McLoone's Boathouse – West Orange

Located within the South Mountain Recreation Complex, McLoone's Boathouse sits on the banks of the reservoir, offering a Mother's Day brunch buffet with a spectacular view. Try the shrimp, clams on the half-shell, and oysters at the raw bar. Design your omelet, or feast on bacon, pork loin, oven-roasted turkey, and crepes. French toast, scrambled eggs, and home fries round out the breakfast assortment, but there are also hot lunch entrees along with pastries and fruits for dessert.

Celebrate at Brook Hollow Winery and Event Facility with live music, flowers for the moms, an open all-you-can-eat brunch buffet, and a build-your-own sangria bar (wine not included).

Craving an Irish Mother's Day brunch? The Shannon Rose has you covered. Order from the a la carte brunch menu, which includes favorites like breakfast burrito, steak and eggs, chicken & waffle sandwiches, avocado toast, and an egg-topped burger. There's also a traditional Irish breakfast with all the fixings.

21. Stage House Tavern – Somerset, Scotch Plains, Mountainside

You won’t go hungry at this fun pub that's known for its large brunch portions and delicious Sunday brunch buffet. On Mother's Day, order up pancakes, chicken and waffles, corned beef hash, frittata, and much more.

22. Tops Diner – Harrison

You simply can't go wrong with a diner, and Tops is the best in the state. Recently renovated with an upscale, retro vibe, snag a coveted table here for mom to dine on classic brunch items, such as huevos rancheros, fruit-topped waffles, Nutella French toast, and eggs served a multitude of ways.

23. Avalon Brew Pub – Avalon

For a memorable start to Mother's Day, have brunch in the Seaglass Ballroom at ICONA Avalon. The menu boasts eggs, bacon, pancakes, and other breakfast favorites, plus carving stations, entrees, and desserts. Kids 4 and under are free.
