Top Things To Do in Sugar Land with Kids
Sugar Land Town Square often has kid-friendly events.1. Sugar Land Town Square
Sugar Land has a vibrant and lively town square, with shopping, dining, and activities that are great for the whole family. They also host free kid-friendly events like Movie on the Square and visits by the Jolly Trolly, which is filled with a bouncy obstacle course, a mini gym, and a playground full of wonder that transforms the square for kids to play every Monday.
2. Houston Museum of Natural Science Sugar Land
The Houston Museum of Natural Science has a satellite location in Sugar Land, and even though it’s smaller, it still packs in a ton of exhibits to explore with kids. Permanent collections include a Hall of Paleontology, a Hall of Technology, and the interactive Discovery Works. But our favorite attraction for kids is the Dig Pit, where kids are armed with shovels, brushes, and trowels to dig through the recycled material and uncover fascinating fossils buried beneath the surface. Good to know: if you are a member of HMNS you also receive free admission to the general exhibits at the Sugar Land Location.
3. Fort Bend Children’s Discovery Center
Children’s Museum Houston has a sister location in Sugar Land, the Fort Bend Children’s Discovery Center (and a membership works at both!). It’s smaller than the Houston location, but has the same kid favorites like Kidtropolis and the Tot Spot. They also offer special programming and events throughout the year.

Not only can you catch a game of the minor league team The Sugar Land Space Cowboys, but kids will enjoy all the fun activities at Constellation Field. There is a playground, splash pad, batting simulator, and lots of kid-friendly concessions available.
5. Brazos River Park
Brazos River Park spans 67 acres along the Brazos River and has an amazing new playground and pavilion. It also offers miles of trails: paved trails perfect for walking, scootering, or skating, and mountain biking trails. We loved the pump track there as well!
6. The Play Space Sugar Land
Sugar Land is home to the biggest indoor playground in Texas, the recently opened The Play Space Sugar Land. At over 6000 square feet, it’s packed full of tunnels, fun obstacles, and huge slides, with separate play spaces just for babies up to 18 months and toddlers up to 4 years old. Add in an arcade and on-site cafe, and it’s a fun way to spend the day.
7. Cheeky Monkeys Sugar Land
Designed for kids 8 and younger, with a separate toddler play space and pretend play area, this is a great indoor option for preschoolers and toddlers. There is also an on-site cafe.
8. Funtastik Labs Sugar Land
Funtastik Labs recently opened a new location in Sugar Land, and if you’re looking for a fun, educational, and engaging way to spend time with your kids, then this is the place for you. It’s a hands-on Science and Slime Museum and offers activities like slime making, science experiments, ceramic and canvas painting, and robot building. The best part? They clean up the mess while parents can focus on the fun.

A fun way to beat the heat or feel festive during the holidays is by ice skating! Sugar Land Ice and Sports Center offers public skating hours that’s fun and affordable (and a great workout) for the whole family.
