April showers might bring May flowers, but this month is also bringing tons of free activities for kids in Philly and beyond. We've found some great ways to get out and about with the family this April, just leave your wallet at home.

As the weather breaks, explore trails or celebrate the month by way of festival. Since we celebrate Earth Day later in the month, give back to Mother Earth with weekly volunteer opportunities, use STEAM to learn about sustainability, or bring scientific experimentation to April 22. Tap into the family's artistic side by learning something new from a professional artist, merging artistry with food and community, or checking out some ballet to end the month. Of course, Easter provides plenty of free springtime activities, including Easter parading and hunting fun.
