1. For this project you want your paint to be an inky consistency. You can use watercolors or watered down acrylic paint. Just make sure it's not too watery so you get good concentrated color.

2. Create large drops of paint on your paper. If you have an eye dropper, that's handy but you can also use a spoon.

3. Using a straw, blow on the paint, starting from directly above it.  We found that it helps to wiggle the straw as you blow.  The paint should spread in cool tendrils.

You can experiment with how you blow the paint, see what kind of patterns you can make and how the paint might mix as it meets on the page. It's kind of addictive to see what our mundane droplets would spider into.
