Houston's Día de los Muertos celebrations make the city come alive with vibrant colors, sounds, and traditions every year. From bustling parades to museum exhibits, our favorite Día de los Muertos events in Houston celebrate Hispanic culture and honor loved ones who have passed.

Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is traditionally celebrated on November 1st and 2nd in Mexico. The holiday serves as a celebration of life and a way to honor the passing of loved ones and ancestors. Many of the celebrations feature a community ofrenda, or altar, to help visitors remember their loved ones and include cultural performances, music, and crafts in a joyous celebration of life and death.
