Tropical Lagoons Coming Soon to Central Florida

Orlando residents might not have to travel so far to enjoy the beach one day soon. A new company is planning to open beach-like tropical lagoons around Central Florida's inland counties in the next couple of years.

Crystal Lagoons, a Miami-based company, has signed an agreement with hospitality asset manager Adëlon Capital to develop at least five Caribbean-like lagoons near Orlando.

The first of these public access lagoons (PAL) is set to open in 2023, so we still have a bit of a wait, but wow, they look stunning. In addition to crystal clear waters, white-sand beaches, and water sports, the lagoon developments are expected to include hotels, stores, restaurants, concerts, and more. 

All lagoons will be open to the public via ticketed entry. These five new ones are expected to be located in Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Lake, and Sumter counties.

Crystal Lagoons currently has over 200 real estate and PAL projects in different stages of development, including The Lagoon at Epperson in Tampa Bay, the first official Crystal Lagoons opening in the United States.
