As the pandemic-induced shutdowns extend into their second month, small businesses across Long Island have found creative ways to stay afloat, with many shifting to contactless curbside pickup and delivery. We've rounded up 10 local toy and book stores now offering contactless pickup and delivery. You won't find any big box stores or chains here, so you can treat your kids to a new toy or page-turner while knowing you're supporting a local business in the process.
For more things to do at home, check out our Stay-at-Home Guide, which lists hundreds of activities to keep families entertained. We've also got a great big list of 100 awesome craft projects, plus 64 easy science experiments, and tons more boredom busters.
