The weekend ahead is brimming with terrific events for families in Westchester and the Hudson Valley, so get ready to make some tough choices!
There’s no shortage of fairs and festivals, such as the Bronxville Spring Sidewalk Sale & Street Fair, RiverFest and the Children’s Earth & Water Festival, just to name a few. Other fun includes rocking out to the kindie band Tim Kubart and the Space Cadets and introducing kids to the classic Pink Panther cartoons. And to support a good cause that affects millions of Americans, you and your family can Walk Now for Autism Speaks.

Help raise money and join the many local supporters of this important cause. FREE
Tarrytown Craft, Food & Street Fair - Tarrytown
More than 90 vendors and crafters exhibit their wares, and refreshments are available for purchase. FREE
Rosenthal JCC Children's Carnival - Pleasantville
This annual carnival includes bumper cars, a Zipline, rock climbing, bouncy castles, karaoke and much more! A rotating lineup of entertainers runs from mid-morning till late afternoon.
BEYOND WESTCHESTER
The Brooklyn Botanic Garden celebrates the opening day of its new Discovery Garden with the FREE Frolic Discovery Garden Grand Opening Fest, a nature and art-filled family fest featuring guided nature walks, collaborative art making, an al fresco dance party with stilt walkers, oversize puppets, live Dixieland jazz and ragtime tunes, and a funky musical parade.. The learning garden has been expanded to nearly four times its former size.
Then on Sunday, how about the Annual Egg Rolls And Egg Creams (and, now, Empanadas) Festival? Though the name suggests only a culinary agenda, other features include Chinese opera, klezmer music, Yiddish and Chinese language lessons, mah jongg, scribal arts—plus, new this year, Spanish cultural attractions as well.
