Welcome March this weekend by enjoying a bit of the great outdoors or stay inside with some princesses for breakfast or a tea party. There's also several crafting projects on tap this weekend, as well as maple sugaring demonstrations at a Suffolk farm.

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss - Port Jefferson. Create your own Oobleck to celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday at the Maritime Explorium. Cost: $5.

Weekend Workshop: Fingerprint Heart - Sayville. Drop into Mini Monet to create this craft. Cost: $15.

The Snow Queen - Northport. Live performance at the Engeman Theatre. Runs every Saturday and Sunday through March 8.Cost: $15/ticket.

Seal Cruise - Freeport. Hop aboard the Captain Lou in Freeport, hosted by the Riverhead Foundation to search for harbor seals and other mammal life. Runs through April 12. Cost: $19-$26.

Messy Afternoons at LICM – Garden City. At the Long Island Children’s Museum, all weekend long. Cost: Free with museum admission.

Explorer Family Backpacks – Uniondale. Pick up a backpack and explore the world through this Hofstra University gallery. Cost: Free.

Princess Tea Party - Ronkonkoma. Dress up at this tea party at Ballet Long Island. Enjoy a performance as well. Cost: $19.

Kid Create Foam Stamps - Bridgehampon. At the Children's Museum of the East End, kids can get craft creating their own foam stamps. Cost: $12/members, $15/nonmembers.

Breakfast With Elsa - Wantagh. At Divas N Dolls, bagels, drinks, Frozen nails, make up and Frozen Bingo with Elsa. Cost: $29.99.

Teeth Fairies - Port Washington. At Dolphin Bookshop, enjoy this book reading and oral care practices by a dentist. Cost: Free.

National Pancake Day - Cold Spring Harbor. At the Col Spring Harbor Fish Hatchery, enjoy pancake day. Cost: $6/adults, $4/children.

Family Yoga - Roslyn. Children and parents ages 3 and up at Practice Mind Body Soul. Cost: $30.

Family Winter Birds & Beach Walk - Bridgehampton. Nature walk, talk and observation at the South Fork Natural History Museum. Cost: $7/adults, $5/kids under age 12.

Creative Movements - Westbury. Kids dance class for ages 3-5. Runs through March 21. Cost: $20/class.

Science Saturday at the Long Island Science Center – Riverhead. Enjoy a day at the Long Island Science Center. Cost: $5/person.

Sunday, March 1

Irish Dancers - Melville. Enjoy a performance of Irish step dancing at Walt Whitman birthplace. Cost: $9/child (chaperones are free).

Maple Sugaring - Commack. There will be a demonstration of both Native American and Colonial maple sugaring at Hoyt Farm. Cost: $3/person, $8/family.

Amazing Airplanes - Garden City. March is Women’s History Month. Amelia Earhart was the first female aviator to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean. Celebrate her legacy by creating a miniature clothespin bi-plane at the Long Island Children's Museum. Cost: Free with museum admission.

Purim Carnival - Oceanside. Friedberg JCC is celebrating with family, food, fun and games. Costumes encouraged. Cost: Free.

Seatuck Family Nature Club - Islip. These programs will be geared around the current season and include topics such as seasonal birds, tremendous trees and signs of the season. Cost: Free.

Family Sundays at the Museum - Roslyn. Each Sunday, Nassau County Museum of Art offers a 1pm docent-led family walk-through of the exhibition and supervised art activities for the whole family beginning at 1:30pm. Cost: Free with museum admission.

Lego Club - Bridgehampton. Enjoy two hours of Lego fun every Sunday at the Children's Museum of the East End. Cost: $10/admission.

Sunday Kids Club - East Hampton. Drop off kids for a 9am-12pm kids camp at Hampton Kids. Cost: $30-40.
