Best Things To Do in Atlanta This September: Labor Day Weekend, Festivals, and More Family Events
Ready for fall, Atlanta? OK, it's still summer here, but we're kicking off September with a list of the top things to do Labor Day Weekend 2020 with the kids, as well as fun day trips and family-friendly events happening in Atlanta all month.
Enjoy a hot air balloon festival, building lightsabers and costume parades at TinyCon, or the virtual DragonCon this Labor Day Weekend in Atlanta. A day trip to a nearby beach, or an Orlando getaway might be just right for escaping back-to-school stress. These other day trips from Atlanta will keep everyone happy exploring the great outdoors, from state parks and gardens to small towns and drive-in movies.
We plan on exploring the whimsical green sculptures at the Atlanta Botanical Garden's Alice's Wonderland Reimagined diplay this month, as well as bringing the tots to its Garden and Groove sessions. Don't miss out on the start of fall farm fun either, such as the opening of the Buford Corn Maze where kids can also meet the barn animals and take a hayride.
There are plenty of virtual events for the kids to check out this month, too, including the premiere of Mulan on Disney+, the AJC Decatur Book Festival, and an online BugFest, too! We'll be dancing to the Laurie Berkner Pajama Party and concert on September 20, and even more musical performances during the iHeartRadio 2020 Music Festival this month.
