Are makeshift obstacle courses a common sight in your living room? If so, know that you're definitely not alone—and then consider taking your kids to one of the many obstacle courses, ninja warrior, and parkour gyms in the area. It’s a fun indoor activity for when the weather is either too cold or too hot for outdoor play, and it helps them get tons of energy out.
Almost all the programs and gyms featured here offer both classes and open gym time. Trial classes, camps, and birthday parties are possibilities at most as well.

Obstacle Courses in Westchester
Find lots of great obstacles for kids to try—from rope climbs to a trapeze swing to mini trampolines—all designed to help kids develop skills like balance and endurance. Kids as young as 6 can start taking classes in the Lil’ Ninjas program, and other options, like camps, are available too. Don’t want to commit to a class? Consider the open gym time for kids on the weekends, which costs $25 for 1.5 hours.
There are lots of different options at this local chain, which also has locations on Long Island and in Connecticut and New Jersey too. The options include classes for kids as young as 2.5 and an Inclusive Ninja class on Sunday mornings. For kids 5 and up, there’s open gym time on the weekends to get a feel for what is on offer.

Start them early with the Little Roamers class at this Mount Kisco gym—which is inside Grand Prix New York—where babies from 10 months to 3 years old can try various “obstacles.” From there, there are lots of other Parkour-focused classes offered for older kids, as well as camps and private lessons. And in case you want to give it a go, there are adult classes as well!
Do your kids want to do a Ninja Warrior course but they're not into taking a full-on class? The GPX Ninja Course, which takes up some 20,000 square feet of space and is for the 5-and-up crowd, is a great option. It's open every day except Monday and Tuesday, and it’ll run you $24 for a 90-minute session. And if you have multiple kids and one isn’t into the course, there are tons more things to do here, from go-kart racing to bowling.
