Philly families may have missed out on some holiday fun in 2020, but the 2021 holiday season is more than making up for it. Flight on Ice is bringing the Veterans Memorial Rink to Newtown Square next month. The new ice rink and winter village join Tinseltown, the Visit Philadelphia Holiday Parade, and the Visit Philadelphia Fireworks Spectacular as the newest must-do holiday and Christmas activities in the Philadelphia area.

New Flight on Ice Rink and Winter Village

Flight on Ice is under construction next to the Delaware County Veterans Memorial, where a 6000-square-foot outdoor skating rink will sit next to a lounge area, heated tent, and food and drink options–including seasonal treats. Visitors will enjoy a festively decorated atmosphere set to holiday tunes and illuminated by sparkling lights. Guests will also be able to pick up the perfect gift while shopping right on the premises. Organizers promise enough fun for the whole family, whether you’re just beginning with your blades, a seasoned expert, or prefer not to skate at all.

Season Passes and family packs are available now at early bird prices–nab a full season pass for $99.99 or a family four-pack session for $39.99. Individual tickets for timed sessions go on sale after Thanksgiving. The rink will stay open at least through February, with plans for special programming during winter break, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, the Super Bowl, and Valentine’s Day. Flight on Ice can also accommodate private bookings for parties or large gatherings. Skate rentals will be available on a first-come, first-served basis for an additional fee, and a portion of sales revenue will benefit local veterans.

More details about dates, menus, and events will be released soon, so keep your eyes on the Mommy Poppins event calendar for the latest updates. We’ll see you on the ice!
