What a weekend for great family bonding! Whether it’s storytime mixed with song or bedtime stories under the stars, you’ll find it locally! There are also opportunities to put all of those imaginations to work in writing poetry or designing puppets. And for those who would prefer to spend the days outside, check out the event at THE END.

Seal Walk

What better way to spend a crisp spring day than looking for seals? Head out to Montauk for an opportunity to view them in their natural environment. The cost is $5 for adults, $3 for children. There is a $6 parking fee.




Storytime
Saturday March 27th and Sunday March 28th, 1PM and 3PM
Long Island Children's Museum Theater

Join Grammy Award winner Bill Harley as he performs his songs and stories about growing up and family.  Ideal for children three and up, it is an event to be enjoyed by older family members, too. Spring Inspiration: Poetry and Craft

Walt Whitman Birthplace State Historic Site and Interpretive Center

As mentioned in our previous “Welcome Spring” post, the Walt Whitman Historic Site is inviting Children 8 and older to get those spring creative juices flowing! Attendees will be guided by a poet and artist as they create their very own poems and ‘sculpture.’ The poems will be written on egg shaped paper and the children will create a nest for their eggs. Princess Scargo and the Birthday Pumpkin

The Wonderful World of Puppets

Children five and up can join in the fun of making puppets and continue the fun at home by producing their own puppet shows. Our Night Out: Storytime Under the Stars
