Looking for the best things to do in New York City this weekend? Here are some family-friendly events and activities to add to your list.

The New Year waltzes in on a cloud of...mulch. If you've got a tree that needs a new year's makeover, drag it to one of NYC's multitude of Mulchfest locales and help the city recycle all that fir. Consider this your final call to catch Elf on Broadway or Annie at Madison Square Garden. The Three Kings march into town on Monday, January 6, with a fab parade (complete with camels) in East Harlem, or you can choose to celebrate with Gaspar, Melchior, and Balthazar in advance at the Children's Museum of Manhattan and in Battery Park City.
