March GoList: Best Things To Do With Houston Kids This Month
Now that "winter" is over, we can jump into one of our favorite times of year - spring! It's hard to pick just one favorite thing to do in March, so here are a few - the 2020 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo kicks off with another great musical lineup and tons to do for the whole family, The Rink at Discovery Green opens as Houston's coolest spot to roller skate, and of course, this month we have much-needed spring break.
This month enjoy a free flick at the park in The Woodlands, the 10th Annual Houston Palestinian Festival with cultural food, music, and fun, and a chance to see your favorite animated pups at Paw Patrol Live! And before you know it, summer will be here, so get ahead of the game by browsing the best summer camps Houston has to offer, from science to outdoor fun.

Texas Independence Day Celebration- Washington
Feb. 29-March 1, 2020
The drive out to Washington (northwest of Houston) may be a bit of a hike, but you'll get your annual bluebonnet fix along the way and a chance to immerse your kids in Texas history. The Brazos State Historic Site is a massive 293 acres, and the two-day festival has interactive exhibits, reenactments, and more.
Main Street Theater Presents: "The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley" - Midtown
March 1-April 4, 2020
Based on the book Flat Stanley by Jeff Brown, this musical adventure follows Stanley - a normal boy by all counts until his bulletin board falls on top of him and flattens him out! Stanley's adventures as "Flat Stanley" show him that heroes come in all shapes and sizes, and is a heartwarming tale the whole family will enjoy.Recommended for children in kindergarten and older.
At the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, kids can get a glimpse of life on the farm.

The Rink: Rolling at Discovery Green - Downtown
March 6-April 12, 2020
Every day in march boogie under Houston's skyline on the city's first outdoor roller rink in Discovery Green. Hours vary each day, and kids ages 3 and up are allowed to show their moves on the floor.
10th Annual Houston Palestinian Festival - Buffalo Bayou
March 21-22, 2020
Head to Buffalo Bayou Park to celebrate Palestinian culture. Enjoy cuisine from local vendors, cultural music and performances, a pop-up cultural museum, children's entertainment section, and a huge bazaar with unique finds.
48th Annual Buffalo Bayou Regatta - Downtown
March 7, 2020
Whether you want to participate in the state's largest canoe and kayak race or you'd rather relax on the banks of Buffalo Bayou, everyone is invited to the finish line festivities at Sesquicentennial Park in the 500 block of Preston. This event takes place rain or shine.
