Best Things to Do in Atlanta in November with Kids: Thanksgiving, Ponies, Science
It's November in Atlanta and the comforting feeling of fall is still in the air as the holidays near.
Families eager to get out of the house can check out some of these great events on our November calendar, including Pumpkins and Ponies at Sunny Brook Stables in East Cobb, where children can ride a pony or horse and engage in some fun outdoor activity on the farm.
Families who want to kick-start their seasonal shopping, can visit the outdoor Holiday Market at Avalon, and the Georgia Renaissance Festival invites families to discover days of yore during its Fall Fling, when the fairgrounds open with limited capacity and activities during four consecutive Saturdays in November.
For those more inclined to nature, the Fernbank Museum is offering limited capacity tickets for its Forest Night Walk —a short, guided outdoor trek where guests can discover the critters that come out at dusk.
Some traditional Thanksgiving events are carrying on during these difficult times, but if your kids really want a treat why not consider a trip to Chamberlain's Chocolate Factory, where kids can craft their own chocolate creations.
While we try to promote safe activities that occur outdoors or with social distancing guidelines in place, please keep your family and others safe by wearing a mask and maintaining appropriate distance. If you arrive at an event that appears too crowded, try using the “nearby”search feature on our event calendar to find something else to do.
