Summer will be here before we know it, and that means its time to start looking at Orlando summer camp options for the kids! We've rounded up budget-friendly summer camps in Orlando and Central Florida (for the purpose of this article, we've capped the camp cost at $200 per week or less). There are so many fun summer camps near Orlando, so don't let hefty costs get in the way of a memorable summer camp experience for kids!

Free and Affordable Summer Camps Near Orlando

1. Camp Boggy Creek - Eustis

Free for children with chronic or life threatening illnesses
At Camp Boggy Creek, children with chronic or life threatening illnesses are provided with a full week of traditional summer camp fun, free of charge. Camp weeks are scheduled so that children with like illnesses are together. This residential camp is open to kids with a qualifying medical diagnosis. 

2. Camp Wewa - Apopka

$175 per week for City of Apopka residents
The City of Apopka offers summer camp for children ages 8-14 through Camp Wewa. Camp Wewa features activities such as arts and crafts, athletics, challenge course, drama, ecology, water activities, and more. Camp dates are June 3-July 26, 2025. Hours are 7:30am-5:30pm.

3. City of Orlando - Multiple Locations

2025 rates yet to be released
The City of Orlando’s Recreation Summer Camp includes indoor and outdoor activities such as yoga, art, karate, improv, and more. Camp is open to kids ages 5-14 years old, entering first through eighth grade. Camp runs weekly throughout the summer, from 7:30am-5:30pm. 

4. City of Winter Park

$90 per week City of Winter Park residents
The City of Winter Park offers Summer Fun Camp for incoming first-fifth graders, as well as middle school camp for incoming sixth-eighth graders. Weekly summer camp takes place June 2-August 8, 2025. Camp hours are 7:30am-6pm.

5. Ocoee Parks and Recreation

Initial payment of $35 is due at registration, subsequent payments due the Wednesday before each session start
Ocoee’s summer camp program runs June 2-August 8, 2025 at the Jim Beech Recreation Center. Camp includes daily group activities and free play. Each week’s activities is geared around a fun theme and meals are included. Campers will swim each Friday. Camp is open to kids ages 6-12.

6. St. Cloud Parks and Recreation 

$30 per day for Osceola County residents ($40 per week for non-residents)
Kids ages 5-12 can participate in St. Cloud’s summer camp program. Camp hours are 7am-6pm. Also check out the Sports Summer Camp June 17-21 (ages 5 to 8 years) and 24-28 (ages 9 to 12 years).

7. UCP Charter Schools Summer Learning Academy

$145-$200 per week 
Each week, toddlers, preschoolers, and Pre-K campers enjoy themed camp June 2-July 25 (Orange and Seminole) and June 4-July 25 (Osceola). Full day programs run 8am-4:30pm.

8. Winter Garden Parks and Recreation

$140 per week for Winter Garden residents ($170 per week for non-residents)
Summer day camp with the City of Winter Garden runs from June 2-August 8, 2025. Camp is offered to children entering first through eighth grade. A limited number of scholarships based on income eligibility are available. Sibling discounts available.

YMCA of Central Florida Free and Affordable Camps Near Orlando
YMCA of Central Florida offers tons of summer camp activities, including arts and crafts.

9. YMCA of Central Florida - Various Locations

From $160 per week for members
Several Central Florida YMCA locations offer summer day camps for kids in grades kindergarten through eighth grade. Daily camp activities include arts and crafts, athletics, and choice-based interest tracks, with new themes each week.
