Central Florida's warm climate allows for the use of outdoor parks, including skate parks, all year long! Orlando skate parks obviously welcome skateboarders, but many also allow BMX bikes, kick scooters, and inline skates. Added bonus? Most of these skate parks are free. Channel your inner daredevil and check out these cool skate parks in Orlando!

Orlando Skate Parks for Kids: Outdoors

1. Deputy Brandon Coates Community Park - Orlando

This skate park is situated near a soccer field and playground. Beginners and intermediate skaters enjoy fun skateboarding featuring, including a bowl. This community park offers clean bathrooms but not much shade, so pack cold drinks. Closes at 6pm.

2. Earl Brown Park - Deland

Located near a lake with a running trail, basketball court, and outdoor exercise stations, Earl Brown Skate Park is a great place for the whole family. Use the picnic pavilions for an outdoor lunch. Surface gets hot on very sunny days. Closed on weekends.

3. Lakeland Skate Park - Lakeland

If you are a "bigger is better" kind of family, Lakeland Skate Park delivers. The largest of the outdoor Orlando skate parks, this one is great for skaters of all ages and skill levels. Located ar Fletcher Park at Lake Bonny, this skate park offers two large bowls, free admission, and open 7 days a week. Because this park is great for so many, it's stays on the busy side (discuss line etiquette with younger skaters because of the crowds).

4. Lake Mary Skate Park - Lake Mary

Located at the Lake Mary Sports Complex, this park offers 8,000 square feet of concrete play space for skateboards, rollerblades, BMX bikes, and scooters. One bowl makes this venue a great place for beginner skaters. Free admission and open 7 days a week. Helmets and safety equipment encouraged but not required. Pavilions available for rental.

5. Mark Durbin Community Park at Lakeside - Kissimmee

With a variety of ramps and street elements (rails and ledges), this skate park has a unique layout. Intermediate and advanced skaters flock to this skate park for its fun elements. Free entrance and parking. Lighting for night skating. Located closely to amenities such as basketball courts, a playground, inline hockey rink, and tennis courts. 

6. Minneola Trailhead Park - Minneola

Open daily from dawn to dusk, this park is situated on 17 acres. This outdoor skate park is free and offers a nearby playground, basketball court, ball field, and dog park. There are pavilions to picnic.

7. NSB Skate Park - New Smyrna Beach

This skate park was a result of the city and citizens of New Smyrna Beach collaborating to get a county ECHO grant and a Tony Hawk Foundation grant. This venue offers 8,500 square feet of vert and street skating, as well as two bowls. NSB Skate Park only allows skateboards and rollerblades (no bikes or scooters). Free lessons Saturday mornings 9-10am. Free admission and open 7 days a week. 

8. Orlando Skate Park - Orlando

Located in the Milk district, this outdoor skate park is open daily. Admittance ranges from $2.50 to $7, depending on membership and apparatus (skateboards, skates, scooters, and BMX bikes). Helmets required for skaters 17 and under. Helmets and skateboards available for rental.

9. Port Orange Skate Park - Port Orange

Located for those in Volusia County, the Port Orange Skate Park is nestled at City Center. Skateboards, rollerblades, and BMX bikes welcome. Check-in is through the REC. No motorized vehicles allowed. Adult supervision required for ages 7 and under; recommended for 12 and under. Admittance is $2 for kids, $6 for adults, and $4 for seniors and students.

10. Riverside Skate Park - Oviedo

Open until 8:45pm Sunday through Saturday, Riverside Skate Park has lights for it's 30,000 square feet of concrete. Helmet with chin strap required for all skaters 17 and under (rental helmets available). Admission ranges from $5-$8 depending on if you are an Oviedo resident. Multi-visit passes also available for purchase. Ages 5 years and up. Waiver available to sign upon arrival.

Orlando Skate Parks for Kids: Indoors

11, Central Florida Skate - Orlando

Founded by a local skater who saw a need for an indoor skate venue, Central Florida Skate is open 7 days a week. Skaters can visit the shop to purchase snacks and gear. Lessons available for individuals or small groups. Summer camp for skaters 14 and under. $7 entrance fee as well as membership options. Waivers must be signed upon arrival.
