Congratulations to Izzy's Mom who won the Great Green Giveaway. She'll receive free tickets to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, a copy of the BBG Gardening with Children book and a Tree in a Box. It's not over yet, folks. Halloween is tomorrow and there's still time to check out some of the coolest and most fun Halloween ideas and resources I've found around the web.

Asha over at Parent Hacks has been collecting tons of great tips and tricks for Halloween. My favorite one is saving left over Halloween candy to make your holiday ginger bread house, but you can see all the Halloween Parent Hacks here. I totally forgot about this wonderful little witch movie, Kiki's Delivery Service, by Japanese anime director Hayao Miyazaki until I saw it written up at Kids Off the Couch. It's a nice change from the typical Hollywood Halloween stories we're all used to and a great family film that parents will enjoy as much as kids. New York Magazine recommends the Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art's Things That Go Bump exhibit, an exploration of the way iconic monsters have been depicted in comics, cartoons and animation. Just can't tear myself away from these hilarious and ingenious Animal Halloween Costumes (via GoodyBlog). Gothamist has some very creative ideas for being New York for Halloween. Last minute Naked Cowboy baby costume, anyone?
