Looking for the best things to do in Connecticut this weekend? Here are some family-friendly events and activities in the area to add to your list.

Put on your snow pants and bundle up, because two of Winter's great activities are going on this weekend. Winterfest at Ski Sundown happens all day Saturday where there will be face painting, live ice sculpting demonstrations, and with all this snow we have had, skiing, of course! Bring the whole family to the annual Fire and Ice in Downtown Stamford. This is a FREE festival held outdoors where you can see live ice demonstrations, listen to live music and cozy up next to a fire pit. There is also a Fire and Ice Family Funfest in Litchfield with bonfires, children's activities, games and more!

Feeling the need to satisfy your movie urges? The Family Movie Night: Tangled in Hartford will be running for FREE at the Connecticut Museum for Culture and History and the Family Lineup of Movies at Sacred Heart University begins this weekend with a screening of the original Snow White and the Seven Dwarves.
