Although it’s a few days prior, there are plenty of Earth Day celebrations still to be had. Don’t forget to reference the Earth Day post to look over additional (eco) events for this weekend. Between theater productions for parents and kids alike and taking a stroll outdoors or back in history, there’s much to do on this final weekend of April.

1st Annual Arbor Day Celebration

Be a part of history as the Suffolk County Farm commemorates its FIRST annual Arbor Day celebration with several activities. From planting trees to cleaning up farm garbage, enjoy a day outdoors while helping the environment. There is also an opportunity to participate in a Geocaching scavenger hunt. You’re invited to use GPS devices and search the surrounding area for specific containers. To register for the day’s activities, call 631.852.4600. Arbor Day Family Festival 2010

The Adventures of Harold and the Purple Crayon
