The 50-foot by 80-foot ice rink will be located on Festival Plaza in Pier Village, giving skaters a view of the Atlantic Ocean while they twirl around. The grand-opening on Thanksgiving weekend will come just in time for the annual Long Branch Holiday Tree Lighting, a community tradition that includes a meet-and-greet with Santa, train rides, and holiday tunes played by Tim McLoone & The Shirleys.

The outdoor rink, made of real ice, will be open to the public Thursday through Sunday, weather dependent, through Presidents Day, Monday, February 20, 2017.
