Welcome in Spring with a Live Show at The Palace Theatre
This post is sponsored by The Palace Theatre.
Many Connecticut families already know that seeing a show at The Palace Theatre in Stamford is a unique and memorable experience. A one-time vaudeville house, it has been restored with plush red seats and gold decorative work that frames the bigger-than-Broadway stage. But while its décor might be reminiscent of old Hollywood, the line up is fresh and sure to please youngsters. In fact, kids truly rule at The Palace this spring, with family favorites you won't want to miss that include fun with both Disney and Sesame Street.

The Palace Theatre is committed to exposing children to the joy of live performances, with the hope of helping them to develop a lifelong appreciation of the arts, and maybe even inspiring kids to create their own masterpieces. The spring season kicks off on March 5th with Jack Hanna's Into the Wild Live, in which America's most beloved animal expert brings his television series to life. Jungle Jack introduces families to some of the world's most spectacular animals, sharing humorous stories and amazing exclusive footage from his worldwide adventures. Other shows that are sure to wow audience members both big and small include:
Wild Kratts Live! March 11: The Kratts Brothers rescue their favorite invention through hilarious pratfalls and amazing animal “wow facts.”
Playtime at the Palace: Silent Slapstick, March 20: Kids won't be able to contain their laughter at this program of uproarious '20s comedy films. Lincoln Center's silent film accompanist/historian Ben Model presents the program, improvising original scores for three short slapstick silent comedies.
Moon Mouse: A Space Odyssey, March 22: Marvin the Mouse leads an adventure of a lifetime as he faces being picked on by the “cool” rats in this story of acceptance and celebration of differences that is a great message for kids to receive at both family outings and school field trips.
Playtime at the Palace: Phenomenal Physics with Mr. Fish, April 3: Using eye-popping circus skills, Mr. Fish proves that science can be fun by performing amazing tricks involving boomerangs, bubbles, bull whips, balloons, eggs and more.
Sesame Street Live: Let's Dance! April 5: Hosted by two live performers, little ones can get up and dance with their favorite Sesame Street friends.
Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood, April 29: The legacy of the beloved Mister Rogers' Neighborhood lives on with the award-winning television series Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, from The Fred Rogers Company and PBS KIDS.
