It’s Valentine’s week! With all the ice and snow in New Jersey, maybe you’re not feeling the love for this time of year. When you check out all the great events going on this week, we think you’ll warm up to the season. Rejoice in everything Valentine at Shore Cake Supplies’ Valentine’s Day Cooking Class and The Bounce Factory’s Toddler Valentine’s Day Party. It’s a week for musical fun at Mini Music Mondays at Maxwells and a performance of The Rainbow Fish at Mayo Performing Arts Center. Mini Music Mondays at Maxwell’s (Hoboken)
Rock out to the music of Erin Lee and the Up Past Bedtime Band at Maxwell’s. Every week, a different family-friendly band performs.

Jersey Shore:
Wheee Get Fit & Play Stroller Fitness Class (Wall)
Get in shape with the baby in tow at The Sports Center. Classes take place Monday through Thursday morning and feature stroller fitness plus mommy-and-me playtime.

Watershed Preschool Series (Pennington)
Learn all about the secret world of rodents as part of this series for 3-5 year olds, held at the Stony Brook-Millstone Watershed Reserve. Classes take place Tuesday and Wednesday and cover a new topic each week.

Northern NJ:
The Rainbow Fish (Morristown)
Enjoy a family-friendly musical about the value of friendship, based on the book The Rainbow Fish. Performance is held at the Mayo Performing Arts Center.

Create a delicious Valentine’s Day treat at Shore Cake Supplies. Kids ages 5-15 will decorate cookies to share with their Valentines. Advanced registration is required.

2015 Scholastic Art Awards (Montclair) Bring the teens to the Montclair Art Museum to view the artistic talent of their peers at the 2015 Scholastic Art Awards for Northern New Jersey Region. There is no charge for the award ceremony and opening exhibition reception. FREE
