Looking for the best things to do in Miami on New Year's Eve weekend to ring in 2026 with kids? Here are some events and activities to add to your list for the holiday weekend!

Happy New Year, Miami and South Florida. Well, almost.

New Year's Eve falls on Wednesday this year, meaning there is an extended weekend of fun things to do with kids leading into 2026. Enjoy kid-friendly ball and balloon drops at the Museum of Discovery and Science in Fort Lauderdale, the Cox Science Center in Wesr Palm Beach, and the Young at Art Museum in Plantation.

It's also the final weekend to see some great holiday lights across the region, including Holiday Fantasy of Lights in Coconut Creek and Zoo Lights in Palm Beach. On December 30 and 31, enjoy a special Symphony in Lights celebration in Hallandale Beach. Whatever you choose to do, celebrate the arrival of 2026 with love from everyone here at Mommy Poppins.
