1. Just Kidding Play Cafe - Webster
With minimal blind spots so you can keep your little one in view, unique soft play spots, and a cafe that serves up delicious drinks and casual bites, Just Kidding Play Cafe in Webster is one of our favorites spots for baby play dates! Stop in for open play on the weekend and let your little one crawl and play while you sip on an iced coffee or catch up with your mom friends.

2. Tot Spot at Children's Museum Houston - Museum District
A can't-miss Houston attraction, Children's Museum Houston isn't just for the big kids. Babies enjoy interactive play and a massive soft play area with slides, toys, and so much more for little ones ages 3 and under (and their big siblings). And since the whole place is dedicated to, well, children, it's got all the amenities a parent could need, from changing tables in the bathrooms to a stroller parking area just outside the Tot Spot, and more.
3. Fun N Play Kiddie Corner - Cypress
Parents in the Cypress area love the dedicated baby play area at Fun N Play. Cushioned climbing structures, a ball pit, soft play spots, tunnels, and fun features like a mini trampoline are reserved just for the littlest visitors to explore.
4. Kidtastic Park - Northwest Houston
This indoor play area has a sparkling reputation for cleanliness. You won't have to worry about grimy surfaces or your baby picking up the latest bug when you bring them to the toddler play area to work on those motor skills on mini slides, tunnels, and toys. They also have a mommy room available for use.

6. Boeing Toddler Terminal at the Lone Star Flight Museum - Clear Lake/Webster

7. Monkey Joe's - Katy and Westheimer

8. The Baby Space at The Play Space - Sugar Land and Webster
Find a soft, monitored place to land with little ones 18 months or younger among the sprawling tunnels and slides of The Play Space in The Baby Space. Soft slides and climbables bring fun for babies, and it's adjacent to The Tot Space with its imagination spaces. It's so enticing, it may just be the space where your baby gets inspired to crawl or take those first steps!

Along with the typical slides, soft play areas, and climbing structures, this indoor play area also includes a ball pit and a baby dance floor to support their moving and grooving!

10. Clear Lake City County - Freeman Branch Library - Clear Lake
My family's personal favorite, the Freeman Branch Library has an amazing children's library filled with toys, interactive play zones, a coloring station, and storytimes throughout the week for babies. Bathrooms with changing tables and pint-sized potties are available in the children's section.
11. First Colony Branch Library - Sugar Land
Stop in for morning Mother Goose Time with your infant (pre-walkers) for stories, songs, and rhymes.
12. Heights Neighborhood Library - The Heights
Help your little cutie develop early literacy skills in a gorgeous historic building at the Heights Neighborhood Library. Interactive baby storytime and play sessions are hosted regularly.
13. Oak Forest Neighborhood Library - Northside
Bond with your baby and help them build their social, emotional, and motor skills during stories and sing-alongs at Oak Forest Neighborhood Library.

This gorgeous park has lots of family-friendly programming, including free storytimes hosted by Houston Public Library. The walkable park has paths large enough for strollers and plenty of seating for parents.
18. Storytime on the Terrace at Montrose Collective - Montrose
Enjoy some fresh air and fresh prose with your baby during Storytime on the Terrace. Takes place every Friday (rain or shine) at 10:30 am on the 2nd-floor terrace outside of Sunless Chateau.
19. Family Storytime and Craft at Levy Park - Kirby
Levy Park hosts regular family storytime events followed by a craft for bigger kids and toddlers. Bring your baby out for a stroll and stop by to enjoy the story.
20. Nature Story Time at Nature Discovery Center - Bellaire
Get outside for your next baby playdate and introduce them to the natural world during Nature Story Time at the Nature Discovery Center. Takes place every Wednesday at 4:00 pm.

21. Houston Zoo - Museum District
Your baby will love getting to meet all the animals at the Houston Zoo; all the colors, sounds, and smells will be sensory heaven! Plus, you can also visit the petting zoo and let them brush a goat. Visit on the first Tuesday of each month to take advantage of FREE admission (reservation required).

22. Stewart Beach - Galveston
Take your little bundle of joy to the beach, where they can play in the sand and dip their toes into the water for a full sensory experience. Lifeguards are on duty at the calm Stewart Beach, so you can spend more time enjoying the sunshine and less time worrying. Stewart Beach is great for families, as it has restrooms, showers, and changing areas and paved walkways that make it easy to pull the wagon. If you don't want to pack a full car for your outing, leave the chairs and canopies at home and rent them right on the shore.
23. Jerry Matheson Park - Tomball
If your baby is feeling playground ready, try Jerry Matheson Park, one of the best Houston playgrounds for little ones. A smaller toddler section is suitable for older babies and features a sand pit they can dig in. Parents enjoy the shady seating and the ability to easily watch big siblings on the adjacent play structure.
24. Teddy Bear Park - Oak Ridge North
Teddy Bear Park is perfect for tiny tykes just starting to climb and play. It's fully fenced in and has restrooms and plenty of seating for parents.
25. Timarron Park Sprayground - The Woodlands
With flower showers and a soft, squishy base, this splash pad is ideal for crawlers and new walkers who want to enjoy splashing without the worry of a pool.
26. Houston Arboretum and Nature Center - Memorial
For a stroller-friendly walk, hit the 5 miles of trails at the lush Houston Arboretum. The woods provide plenty of shade and the Discovery Room offers a place to cool off after.
27. Pearland Jogging Trail - Pearland
For scenic views, the Pearland Jogging Trail is paved and takes you around a little lake and is just over a mile long for a quick stroll. Perfect for a short stroller outing with your baby.
28. The Commons at Hermann Park - Museum District
Go for a walk along paved paths that are easy on strollers, ride the carousel, let your baby splash at The Bayou, and watch them crawl and play at The Thicket play area for children under 5. Clean changing areas and restrooms make it easy on parents. We do recommend you pack the sunscreen for this park - when we last went, there wasn't as much shade as we'd like.

Take music classes for babies and parents that focus on movement, exploration, and instruments. As your little one grows and starts to walk, they can get in on dance and singing, too!
